Bible studies: The ignorance of Grace in our day. Or should it be said how "Grace" is misunderstood or stretched into a license to sin. When preaching to the lost, particularly those who are non-believers or that believe in another Jesus if it was misrepresented/understood then yes God provides Grace because as yet as we were still sinners he was gracious towards us. Roman 5.8 kjv You know the gospel says that he desires for none to perish. 2 Peter 3.9 kjv
Sola scriptura. What is it?
Sola Scriptura (by scripture alone in English) is a theological doctrine held by some Protestant Christian denominations that the Christian scriptures are the sole infallible source of authority for Christian faith and practice. This does not mean that the scriptures/bible is not misunderstood.
2 Tim. 3 Verses 16 to 17 "[16] All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: [17] That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works."
The word of God says
Ephesians 2:8-9 King James Version "8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:"
There are people who call themselves Christians who believe in another gospel and in another Jesus apart from biblical Christianity. God still extends grace towards the lost and the deceived while they have the breath of Life and are on Earth. They still have the chance to repent and believe in the gospel. But there are people who truly believe the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ being the 66 books of scripture and I particularly prefer the King James version. I am talking about people who are saved and most likely born again. Why? When talking about Grace people could take Grace and make it a license to sin. For Born again Christians who have not believed in vain 1 Corinthians 5 tells us what to expect in a born again Christian. As Paul wrote a 1 Corinthians 5.5 "to deliver such an one on to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus." Then in "6" it is written, "6. You're glorifying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump. 7. Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye maybe a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us."
Now then in Romans 6:1-11 its crystal clear.
When I'm talking about baptism now I am not referring to baby baptism but believers baptism in full dunk. If you read Romans 6: 1 to 11 KJV it tells us shall we continue to sin that Grace may abound. It is written God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein. Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. That is what is written and so if you are a truly born again Christian and you have not believed in vain then you should walk in newness of life. Grace is not a doctrine to be made into a license to sin. Especially for a born-again believer. Because of the misunderstanding of Grace there are some judging with a beam in their eye as such people judge wrongly thinking they are right. I heard one fella say that there are plenty of good people in hell. Let me assure you no one in hell is good but God is graceful. How do we know that? Christ said repent and believe in the gospel or you will all likewise perish. Luke 13.3 kjv Now for some examples from research..

PS: "I think people generally read the Old Testament morally, combing its pages for moral examples to follow. We need to be like Abraham, live like Jacob, and be a leader like Moses, Joshua, or David. We should fight like Samson, flee like Joseph, and stand up for God like Esther."
IMPORTANT: "But most of the characters of the Old Testament are not good examples to follow. Abraham was a liar, Jacob was a cheater, Moses was a tongue-tied murderer, Esther broke more commandments than she kept and never even mentioned God, and Samson was a self-centered, vengeful porn star enslaved to lust and bloodshed. So if we follow our Old Testament “heroes” as Scripture presents them, we could end up in prison." We, like our God, must choose to live in the context of this dangerous but essential grace."
"The Old Testament is not a moral handbook on how to be a good person. It’s all about grace: God delighting in undelightful people and using them to change the world."
RNS: "You note that 68 percent of born-again Christians in America believe that the saying “God helps those who help themselves” is a verse in the Bible. Why does this matter?"
PS: God helps those that help themselves... What!. "Not only is this phrase nowhere in the Bible, but the very idea is offensive to the biblical gospel. The good news isn’t “God helps those who help themselves”; the good news is “You’re wicked, your life’s a mess, and only God can fix it.” God helps those who realize that they can’t help themselves."
Some of that info/quotes us from Preston Sprinkle whom is an author of several books, including "The New York Times" bestselling "Erasing Hell" (co-authored with Francis Chan).
GRACE MISINTERPRETED
In Romans the Apostle Paul referred to a disturbing misunderstanding of grace:
‘Let us do evil so that good may result’ [Romans 3:8] ‘Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase?’ [Romans 6:1] ‘Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace?’ [Romans 6:15].
‘… if our preaching does not expose us to that charge and to that misunderstanding, it is because we are not really preaching the gospel.’
Profound.
"No abuse, misuse, misunderstanding or misinterpretation of God or of his grace has the ability to diminish or disempower either God or his grace, except in the eyes of those who know neither God nor his grace. Nor should we, his people, think that we have to rescue God and grace from misunderstanding by watering down, withholding or altering the truth."

As I said previously from the Bible study blog.. His grace is sufficient for us believers in the Lord Jesus Christ. You can sin willfully or ignorantly. Shall grace abound (be extended) or shall you be cut off from the land. I've written a blog entitled His grace is sufficient for us true believers in the Lord Jesus Christ.

If you are a born again Christian please listen to "Are we to Continue in Sin That Grace Might Increase?" here (1) The article is here at this link (2). Christians are not today under the law but shall grace abound?
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:"
See there are Christians who say that they are born again and they hold on to the grace issue in scripture as though it is a license to sin or even x out much of the gospel. I have noticed some have this belief as Christ said done and religion says do so you don't have to do anything once you are saved by grace through faith. They even believe or at least some of them that if you do anything that maybe works you are adding to the gospel and going about to earn your own salvation and perhaps your own righteousness. The grace doctrine is commonly misunderstood. There are a lot of books on it and a lot is written about grace. I've heard one pasture say well if people have fallen asleep in the Lord / Jesus Christ God's going to raise them regardless. Who has truly fallen asleep in the Lord only God could judge. I mean we might be able to judge by the fruits after salvation but we are limited. No one can judge everyone that ever existed/lived but God. We're not the ultimate judge. Amen
I am often reminded of John 3:16. God did extend Grace. Walk in the newness of life if you are truly saved. Remind yourself what that means and what you professed to on the day of salvation, especially if you were baptized by full immersion dunk into Christ.
Interesting to note, "walking Grace as Grace is under pressure."
QUOTE "Despite what is going on around us, we need to remain calm and proficient, performing our duties effectively under pressure; cool, calm and collected when under attack, in quietness and confidence is our strength, trusting in God, placing our faith in Him showing grace towards others despite the way they act or how they might treat us"
Here are some links and the question. Can grace be abused? Again yes of course it can and it is many times. Here are some links you can research yourselves. I was reminded of John 3:16 again as I was concluding this blog. Yes God is gracious and I think we should remember that and also honour that. Giving thanks and praise regardless.

As in Henry Mathews commentary. "The Jews built on a false foundation, and refused to come to Christ for free salvation by faith, and numbers in every age do the same in various ways. The strictness of the law showed men their need of salvation by grace, through faith. And the ceremonies shadowed forth Christ as fulfilling the righteousness, and bearing the curse of the law."
