Spiritually called Sodom and Egypt

July 6th 2020. 11:44

Spiritually called Sodom and Egypt

Jerusalem is a great city-figuratively called Spiritually Sodom and Egypt. Why would this be so? Especially that it is a great city where the Lord was raised as a child and attended the temple & festivals. He was also crucified somewhat near there. As quoted written: "Its a place where "Jesus was brought as a child, to be "presented" at the Temple (Luke 2:22) and to attend festivals (Luke 2:41)."

Jesus indicted Jerusalem for killing the prophets and stoning those who were sent to it (Matthew 23:37).

Many of us have heard of Sodem and Gomerah. As quoted..

"Sodom was an exceedingly wicked city which was overthrown for her sins by God’s judgment (Gen. Gen. 13:13; Gen. 19:24). Egypt was the nation which held Israel in bondage and was judged by plagues prior to the Exodus (Ex. Ex. 1:13-14; Ex. 3:7; Ex. 20:2). Jerusalem, in her godless state, is likened to both the wicked city and the wicked nation."

Now the bible/Revelation compares Jerusalem to Spiritually called Sodom and Egypt.

Its interesting to know that the Eastern Orthodox Church teaches that the New Jerusalem is the City of God that will come down from heaven in the manner described in the Book of the Apocalypse (Revelation). This is taught in the King James Bible.

So to exam this more in-depth.

What is the significance of Jerusalem in the Bible? "In Christianity, the Christian faith, Jerusalem's place in the life of Jesus gives it great importance, in addition to its place in the Old Testament. Jerusalem is the place where Jesus was brought as a child, to be "presented" at the Temple (Luke 2:22) and to attend festivals (Luke 2:41)."

Again just to stress, not only was the Lord raised attending festivals & the temple in Jerusalem but he also gave his life near there. That city had/has great significance/importance in the gospel and also in the temple that will be rebuilt may be there or near by. Now let's examine the place where the Lord was crucified being Golgotha

Golgotha

"They were written to provide a testimony of faith. LAWTON: According to the New Testament, Jesus was crucified at a spot outside Jerusalem called Golgotha, which in Aramaic means “place of the skull.” The Latin word for skull is calvaria, and in English many Christians refer to the site of the crucifixion as Calvary. Mar 30, 2012"

Where is Golgotha located? "Jerusalem. Golgotha. Golgotha, (Aramaic: “Skull”, )also called Calvary, (from Latin calva: “bald head,” or “skull”), skull-shaped hill in Jerusalem, the site of Jesus' crucifixion."

What is Golgotha called today? "hill, Jerusalem. Alternative Title: Calvary. Golgotha, (Aramaic: “Skull”, )also called Calvary, (from Latin calva: “bald head,” or “skull”), skull-shaped hill in Jerusalem, the site of Jesus' crucifixion. It is referred to in all four Gospels.May 21, 2020"

Can you visit the place where Jesus was crucified? Yes. As far as what they believe to be near/in the place or spot there is a church called, Church of the Holy Sepulcher.

In research it is quoted/written "This church in the Christian Quarter of the Old City is where Christ was crucified, buried and resurrected. This is one of the most venerated sites in Christendom, and a major pilgrimage destination."

Now there's a reason to look at the two witnesses from the book of Revelation. Revelation meaning is "Revealed" to us. In revelation the story of the two witnesses is astonishing. When examined it all fits and reveals the God hating world that worships Satin unaware mostly. Should we be surprised?

Revelation 11:8 "Their bodies will lie in the street of the great city--figuratively called Sodom and Egypt--where their Lord was also crucified."

There is a body of Truth that the world will not and cannot receive. The devil deceives the whole world. The world lies in his hands. He is the god of this world. Now concerning the two witnesses from Revelation 11.3 here the perplexity of this situation below...

Research quoted

REVELATION 11: PASSAGE

"According to this passage, the two witnesses have encountered great opposition. Those who tried to kill them, at first, were consumed by flames (Revelation 11:5). They administered plagues on the earth and caused droughts and other disasters (Revelation 11:6). All of this happens while they are prophesying on God's behalf, bringing a message which the world does not want to hear."

Again.. Remember Jesus indicted Jerusalem for killing the prophets and stoning those who were sent to it (Matthew 23:37).

Quoted..from research..

"Further, verse 8 indicates the great city is where our Lord was crucified. Jesus died on a cross outside Jerusalem, not Rome or Babylon. John tells us that the great city symbolically is called Sodom and Egypt. In the tribulation Jerusalem will be morally corrupt like Sodom and its residents will be in bondage to the beast that controls the economy and their lives (see Revelation 13:16–17").

Bible Study Tools

Revelation 11:7 Revelation 11:9 their dead bodies will lie in the street Lack of burial is particularly repugnant to the Jews.

”1 The beast and earth dwellers purposefully leave the bodies of the witnesses unburied as an intentional dishonor and insult (Isa. Isa. 14:20; Jer. Jer. 8:2; Jer. 14:16)."

"This is another indication of the Jewishness of the context. 2 the great city. The same phrase is used elsewhere to describe Babylon"

Research/quoted:

"earthly Jerusalem, and the heavenly Jerusalem.3 Both Babylon and earthly Jerusalem have great significance in the scenario of the Tribulation. One is the center of the anti-God system of Babylon whereas the other is the earthly city where God has placed His name. It is within this latter great city, Jerusalem, that the Tribulation Temple will stand which Antichrist desecrates. The identity of the city among the three possible locations (Babylon, earthly Jerusalem, heavenly Jerusalem) is established by its identification as the place “where also our Lord was crucified.”

For more in-depth scripture listing see reference REVELATION 16:19

Research/quoted:

"spiritually πνευματικῶς [pneumatikōs] meaning “in a manner consistent with the (divine) Spirit.”4 “ ‘Spiritually’ . . . shows this to be the language of allegory or metaphor. Neither Sodom nor Egypt is the city’s real name.”5 One of the ministries of the Holy Spirit is to assess the true spiritual conditions of His subject. He is represented by “seven eyes which are the seven Spirits of God sent out into all the earth”. His omniscient gaze burns away the dross of external representation to reveal the true character below . It is in this sense, as seen by the Spirit, that Jerusalem is called “Sodom and Egypt.” "Called Sodom and Egypt Both Sodom and Egypt typify cities which were opposed and judged by God. Sodom was an exceedingly wicked city which was overthrown for her sins by God’s judgment. Egypt was the nation which held Israel in bondage and was judged by plagues prior to the Exodus. Jerusalem, in her godless state, is likened to both the wicked city and the wicked nation. Even though the two witnesses exhibit a Jewish ministry located in Jerusalem, they are rejected by the majority of the inhabitants—their fellow Jews. When Moses sang a song predicting the apostasy of Israel upon entering the Promised Land after his death, he referred to the Jewish nation as “a nation void of counsel,” whose “vine is of the vine of Sodom and of the fields of Gomorrah”. Isaiah used a similar analogy when describing God’s rejection of Israel’s insincere sacrifices: “Hear the word of the LORD you rulers of Sodom; give ear to the law of our God, you people of Gomorrah: ‘To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices to Me?” . The sin of Jerusalem is said to be as the sin of Sodom in that it was flaunted openly.6 Even the apostate prophets are likened to the inhabitants of Sodom and Gomorrah. When rejected by the cities of the lost sheep of the house of Israel, Jesus indicated that the cities which did not receive the apostles or their words would be considered worse off than Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment. Although Jerusalem is here referred to as Sodom, Isaiah also indicated that Babylon’s eventual overthrow would be like that of Sodom and Gomorrah. Elsewhere, Ezekiel describes the Northern Kingdom (Sam-aria) and the Southern Kingdom (Jerusalem) as idolatrous sisters, both of which committed harlotry in their youth while in Egypt. Comparison with Egypt recalls the idolatrous golden calf which Israel made upon departure from Egypt".

Where the lord was crucified/ of Sodom and Egypt

"Where also our Lord was crucified The MT and NU texts have their Lord instead of our Lord. Although the city has the spiritual attributes of Sodom and Egypt, its identity is clearly established as Jerusalem, the place of the crucifixion (Luke Luke 13:33; John John 19:20; Heb. Heb. 13:12). Concerning those who suggest some other location than Jerusalem, Bullinger observes: “A Sunday-school child could tell us where the Lord was crucified; but these learned men cannot.”

Some of information that has been provided has been researched. So what is revealed/learned? Why does God call Jerusalem : Spiritually called Sodom and Egypt. That should be obvious from what has been reviewed and studied here. You know the temple is going to be rebuilt. As the Lord Jesus Christ said "when you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:).. 21. For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.. "

Insert July 9, 2020 Things have change in Egypt since the days of Pharaoh and Kings & Queens. So this blog may be long but it is necessary in bible studies.

Quoted Research

"The last native pharaoh of Egypt was Nectanebo II, who was pharaoh before the Achaemenids conquered Egypt for a second time. Achaemenid rule over Egypt came to an end through the conquests of Alexander the Great in 332 BC, after which it was ruled by the Hellenic Pharaohs of the Ptolemaic Dynasty."

Isaiah 19 1 to 25  ((Regarding Idols))

"An oracle concerning Egypt. Behold, the Lord is riding on a swift cloud and comes to Egypt; and the idols of Egypt will tremble at his presence, and the heart of the Egyptians will melt within them. And I will stir up Egyptians against Egyptians, and they will fight, each against another and each against his neighbor, city against city, kingdom against kingdom; and the spirit of the Egyptians within them will be emptied out, and I will confound their counsel; and they will inquire of the idols and the sorcerers, and the mediums and the necromancers; and I will give over the Egyptians into the hand of a hard master, and a fierce king will rule over them, declares the Lord God of hosts. And the waters of the sea will be dried up, and the river will be dry and parched,"

Are Egyptian gods still Worshiped today?  "not a major religion by any means but it still exists, Kemetisism being the main branch. There are actually very few truly dead religions. Some have been knocked down from their heyday but most gods we know of have a church or two scattered around the world."

"When the Greeks and the Romans conquered Egypt, their religion was influenced by that of Egypt. Ancient pagan beliefs gradually faded and were replaced by monotheistic religions. Today, the majority of the Egyptian population is Muslim, with a small minority of Jews and Christians. 5.44 on July 9, 2020"

Sodom was a wicked place of sexual immorality, fornication and evil that God brought judgment against. Egypt is the place of the exile that held the slaves as it is written. Egypt was known for idols/idolatry. There is a study of explanation above as things have changed in modern times. See
Isaiah 19:25 .

There is mystery Babylon that is the same/related in that regard. Now combine that with the death/sacrifice of Christ in that place called the scull and the murder of the prophets that the Lord Jesus Christ said Jerusalem is guilty of stoning and killing the prophets let alone pondering the Antichrist walking into the rebuilt temple and profanes it. See Daniel 11:31 In other words, the Anti-Christ who sets up idols in the temple and demands worship. Then in cross reference to the two witnesses of God and how they are despised that should ring some bells. They administered plagues on the earth and caused droughts and other disasters (Revelation 11:6). They are despised. We know there are Nations that are against God.  They despise the God of Israel being the God of the Bible/(I AM) as such claim their inheritance and right to that place being associated with Christ's kingdom/coming Kingdom. There are those whom lay claim to this place. Satin has his part. We know there are those whom called for/wanting Israel wiped off the map. Again, we know the Antichrist is going to break his promise after three and a half years too. This is very important but it is not the full story of the Gospel of course. But we have Revelation. So, in the tribulation period people will be in bondage to the Beast whom will control their lives. That reveals he is not of God but of the evil one as we know.   If you understand which people (races), (religious groups) are in Jerusalem now and think how the Jewish people wish to build their temple to honor their God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and the hatred people have for them it is not good. We also know that there have been attempts at peace plans that failed. There are land disputes and more. So, it's not hard to see how the Anti-Christ can breaks his agreement after 3 1/2 years and things progress as written.

In the study if there is understanding it is plain to see how deception is already set so what is written/revealed will eventually occur. It appears to be in the tribulation period. So, you should understand why Jerusalem is called or referred to as spiritually Sodom & Egypt. Recall Christ was the unblemished lamb that takes away the sins of the world. He is now risen. Amen

  • Heaven and earth will pass away but my words will Never Pass Away. Matthew 24.35 How can this be? 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:12

The Free gift of God eternal life

The Free gift of God eternal life

July 2, 2029 3:44 pm 4.44 pm 5:44 pm

Who was Stephen? "Stephen was one of the seven men chosen to be responsible over the distribution of food to widows in the early church after a dispute arose and the apostles recognized they needed help. He was also "full of God’s grace and power, performed great wonders and signs among the people" (Acts 6:8)

Was it Stephen chosen/a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit that was Stoned to Death as he was questioned by the Syn-agog of the Freedman but said prior   "you people are a stiff necked people". The Jewish Sanhedrin religious outfit were unable to accept or hear God's word or testimony on behalf of the risen Lord Jesus Christ. I've heard it said that one needs to keep their traditions handed down from Paul the Apostle which is to keep Sunday service, etc. But In Colossi-ans 2:16 it is written : "6 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holy-day, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:" Any study with a clear mind will show that the original faith is evil spoken of 2 Peter 2.2 and was radically changed from the first century when James wrote about it. Acts 20:29 As they say wolves came in and did not spare the flock. Are then some Christians and pastures being stiff necked because they cannot accept the deviation occurred just as was foretold?

Now the just of the matter regarding The free gift of God being eternal life. The word of God tells me that there needs to be edifying of the body of Christ.

What does God's free gift mean? Can everyone accept it without condition nor salvation method of speech & heart.  For example can someone from some other faith accept it and stay in their own faith that apposes Christianity or true Christianity? It couldn't be a free gift without the sacrifice of the Lamb  John 1:29 nor without repentance and believing in the gospel. So you cannot accept it without whom/referenced/truly believing? And once you believe what does that mean as then it becomes obvious a decision needs to be made on acceptance? Furthermore, Should you trample the blood? Hebrews 10:29, KJV Should you just stay in your sinful worldly ways? Faith is one thing but true righteousness is yet another. Was this gift conditional? Its not any man on earth that the condition / gift came from. Its the Holy living God. Its his method of salvation. You have to believe, you must have faith and you must make a profession with your mouth and your heart must believe what you are saying. How could you believe in a Christ you never met? I mean you could pick up any fantasy fiction book then read about some fictitious Character/Person and think that he is real. There are counterfeit Christs. How do we know that?  2 Corinthians 11:4 You know scripture tells us it would be so. And it reveals it with great description. How do we know who's a real Christ?  We can go to the Bible and see what the Bible says. That is the 66 books of the King James Bible. We can go to the book of Revelations and see how God and the lamb thinks/what they said. When one knows what occurred in history and connects the dots what is written becomes obvious unless you have been brainwashed. If you study history from all the centuries, especially the first century and you studied who was the Lord Jesus Christ you're going to find out he was Jewish. Once you study his Hebrew background including his language and the customers/traditions of those Jewish Hebrews your going to find out that he was a Jewish Rabbi and he didn't keep pagan traditions. When you study the Bible you're going to find out the description that some religions have painted of him is far removed from what is revealed in scripture. When you look at his background being messianic Judaism and you study the authority of scripture your going to find out just as written in the gospel that the world is deceived by the devil. Revelation 12:9 So if you look at Romans 10:9 it is written "9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved".

Jesus Christ's gift to a repenting thief nailed to the cross next to him!

The man nailed on the cross next to Christ being a thief was repentant but he was nailed to a cross at the end of his rope. That means that the end of his life was before him. He was one of the three persons on that roman cross. One was the lamb that takes away the sins of the world. He was there nailed (repentant thief) had been right next to him being the lamb/Christ. He confessed, repented and the Lord forgave him and granted him eternal life. The gift of life! Praise the Lord. How many people had a chance to be on a cross with the actual true Messiah. Not many. And even on the cross the Lord Jesus Christ said forgive them that day for they know what they do.

So is the free gift conditional for us today? Can we go to heaven on our terms? Is there any requirement necessary? Its not us that paid the debt but Christ Jesus being the unblemished lamb that takes away the sins of the world. Its conditional as written in Romans 10:9. It does not require Sunday service either. Without whom/his sacrifice would not have been possible to us.

With God all things are possible. 12.55 am (First Write)

The devil is in the details

June 29, 2020 1:44 pm
Video: Url Ref link

Note: In the video Adam opens with a speech and followed by a word of God from John in the gospel.

There is a video of Adam from Team Jesus Street preachers and his team of helpers including a special friend are preaching on the beach of fort Myers. He has a camera person is what I mean. Sometimes other Christians/even his wife helping as well. In this video as Adam is preaching a fight breaks out between two men. Other people get involved too in some ways as this indecent progresses. This fight gets heated and not in a good way. One man is wearing a black baseball cap and the other another man a  lighter colored different style rounded hat and he is with a woman in what appears to be a wheel chair whom has some sort of ta-toe on her arm. While this is horrible when a preacher is preaching about Jesus Christ there is a good lesson people even Christians can learn. Even preachers can learn from this video and that is what I want to address here. I've watched the video and have taken some images (Sets) with some notes on them.

This is a trying hard time around the world with this world wide pandemic being the corona-virus and all the rioting going on in the United States too. Not to mention there are protests going on around the world while the world wide death rate reaches some 1/2 million people and millions of infections of this virus are being reported. People are suffering and with some restrictions being lifted people have been able to go to bars, restaurants, the beach and out to various places again even in Canada. Since a video emerged of a black man George Floyd in another indecent losing his life unfortunately on police hands people are calling for the police to be DE funded and all sorts of evils are being reported like never before. The news is filled of evils. There is talk about election fraud in the United States and all sorts of things are happening.  Its not a good time.... Its a time to come to faith in the lord Jesus Christ and get saved. Its a time for prayer and submission. A time for repentance of sins.

1st I will list the image sets "below" and then later in the blog discuss the faith in Christ Jesus as well as this unfortunate indecent perhaps more in-depth.

How do fights break out? When someone has evil in their heart and needs to have their say over someone else as tempers flare and things become a yelling match and communication is lost and things get physical is one common ways things get of hand. Yelling does not make someone else right but when someone is assaulted and it gets physical now laws are being broken and people are acting hasty and not reasonable/accepted. The word of God put it as written in Matthew 12.34 in the image above that out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. Man will not live on bread and water alone but we will all be accountable to God for the words that leave out of the mouths. There will be a judgment. The gospel is the good news but not good news for evil people that die in their sins not repentant as hell is a real place. Christ was no liar.

The first occurrence is a man on a bike who does not seem to sit well with the preaching. He is saying something to the effect if she wants to hear this she can go to a church. The people are the Church. The preacher preaches not ONLY in buildings.

These are the two men that had the dispute in the indecent that broke out at the beach as Adam from Street Team Jesus Preachers was preaching the word of God.

Here there is a girl with the man with the black baseball cap saying something to the man with the woman in the wheelchair not seen in this snapshot. He is bearded.

In this snapshot you can see what fight is about to get underway/break out. The body languages are event.

There is some finger pointing and something going on verbally.

Notice the girl to the right taking video with the white shirt on.

Notice the finger pointing going on, Four people in this image. One person being a woman is what may appear to be in a wheelchair. Tensions mount slowly.

So, what happened? This fight gets inflamed/heated bad with physical shoving, verbal abuse and fighting occurs and spills onto the scene later in the video to a close proximity within the same location. A man comes to help & break up the fight and Adam says "Call the police". Later in the video when the fight gets reheated again as the man with the wheel-chair female person seem/appears to walk away but later reappears in the scene. At the end someone appears arrested and it appears to be the man with the wheel-chair girl/woman. I will provide a bunch of snapshots I've taken from the video. Jesus would not approve. As adults' people can have varying views but out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks that is wicked and most likely worldly. Swearing is not of God but of the evil one. Many of us were once lost in the world of the flesh, devil & sin nature so we understand what it means to be wordily and have a carnal mind.  Adam is trying to spread the good news about Christ and his coming Kingdom while preaching and of course one may eventually get trouble makers.  May not always happen but sometimes it does. As they say the devil is in the details.

Here I am going to show you some snapshots in sets. I had to make them a little smaller as this would have been too huge otherwise. You can expand/make larger the sets or study the image sets as you can see the events at hand as they unfold.

You know that saying the an image/photo speaks hundred/thousands of words. Well if you look at these image sets you should be able to take note that this  incident is not good. There is lots of action in these image sets present.

Add caption

If you notice above by this time physical fighting has started. The woman in the wheel chair is not happy and even tries to stop her friend but he listens NOT.

Here in these images above the fight broke out and a man stepped in to stop it. More people are now in the scene than before...

In the last set of images below you see exhaustion in a female and even in Adam the street preacher.

SUMMARY

The video ends with a man arrested and it appear it is NOT the man whom had the black cap on. Somehow the man that has the more rounded lighter hat on whom was with the woman in the wheel chair with the ta-toe on her arm seemed to come back into the picture and get arrested. Adam from Teams Jesus Street Preachers seems to be exhausted at the end but he seemed to preach on and get started with the preaching then as evident in another video Adam posted later. Adam seemed to preach well in the video that followed later.

NEWS REPORTS LATELY

You know yesterday it was reported in the news that a couple went to a bar and a fight broke out because someone groped someone. Later that spilled unto the outside sidewalk where a man came in a car/got out and shot the woman through the chest.  She was killed. Yet in another indecent it was recently reported that some young teens asked a man about his height possibly regarding a convenience store indent that later ended in an alley where this man shot them teens dead. Out of the abundance of the heart people commit all sorts of evils as Christ taught us and it is written in-scripture.

Summary of this incident at the beach of Fort Myers

In the video the woman in the wheel chair appears to be telling her man/friend to stop and she is even holding him back with one of her arms but at some point in time she is sort of slouched over as the man she was with that day started swinging and fighting with the man in the black hat. Adam the preacher is telling them about Christ and about the wickedness of the heart. He tries to stop it in-whatever way he can and some good Samaritan steps in later. Adam say to call the police as the fight starts again later and other people now are in the scene as well. The police later arrive and arrest the man that appears to have been with the woman in the wheel chair. Adam again is tired/exhausted with what transpired.

IMPORTANT POINT

Just before 33.00 video time Adam is speaking with a female voice and she is not seen in the video. She is questing him. The woman says she is free from some sort of drug. (Maybe opioids). Adam is saying you are not from the effects of sin and death. There is some talk about drugs and alcohol being poison and from here on the fight comes forth. Just before Adam says/stresses give the glory to Jesus.  Now things heat up and some man says Shut the F UP! Now there is a lot of more swearing and the fighting is about to begin.

The lord Jesus Christ said to preach the gospel unto the ends of the world and then the end will come. People think God is not real and you can get away with all sorts of evils but Christ is risen/real and hell does exist. What will it profit a man or woman to gain the whole world and perish? The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. Preach the word in season and out of season.
