A description of the first Church (2:44–47) The day of Pentecost
Acts 2:44–47 contains a description of the earliest church, giving a practical view of how the church members acted. The verses cover several aspects of life:
Acts 2:44-47 KJV
44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common;
45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.
46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
WHERE IS THIS TODAY?
The Kingdom of God comes not by observation. Luke 17:20 Its inside YOU.
* The believers had everything in common
* They sold property and possessions so as to give to anyone who was in need
* They met together in the temple courts each day. They ate together in each other's homes.
