No cloke for their sins

May 23, 2020 1:44 pm / Updated May 25, 2020 7:33 pm

The lord Jesus Christ called the Pharisees whitewashed tombs, which outwardly appear beautiful, but within are full of dead people's bones and all uncleanness. Yes, they had no cloak for their sins.

See as the Lord Jesus Christ said himself and testify to the evil deeds of the world and they have now no cloke for their sins as did the Pharisees whom were religious elite leaders of Christ's day. He said repent or you will all likewise perish. That tells us God knows the hearts of people and nothing is hidden to him. He knew/knows their/our motivations and their/our sinful desires and the lack of repentance. The Lord Jesus Christ came and he had spoken on-to them and since he did so there is no excuse for their/even our sins. As he says himself those who hate him also hate his father who is in heaven. He said himself if he had not done among them the works that none other men did they had not had sin but now they have both seen and hated both him being the Lord Jesus Christ and his father who again is in heaven.

What is interesting is he says quote "this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law,  They hated me without a cause."

In analyzing the stated above this is not done to gloom and doom as they say. This is not done to boast that one is better than another. What is important the word of God was fulfilled and it was written in "their law". They hated him without a cause. Do you see? They claimed to be religious leaders and even to know God but at the same time their own law convicted them of their own sins. Even their own shortcomings are evident in their narrow minded ways per say. You know that term religious but lost. Christ talked about how these religious leaders they loved the best places at feasts, and the best seats in the synagogues, how they made their phylacteries broad to be seen of men and he called them hypocrites. He said they lay burdens on people shoulders but they would not lift a finger themselves. You know he said if anybody desires to be first let him be last. The interesting thing is that the very law they were attempting to uphold is the very law that convicts them in their prosperity prideful arrogance as there's a lawgiver. That lawgiver is the God of Abraham, Issac & Jacob and even the God of Israel/The bible. You know he/Christ made reference that they read the letter of the law but disobey the heart of the law. It's kind of a self incriminating reaper in of itself in their own testimonies against themselves.  What? They were the children of those whom killed the prophets according to Christ himself.  In other words they didn't practice what they preached either. You see Christ was aware of what they were doing and he even called them of their father the devil. That is pretty strong language. Even after he did those wonderful works they hated him as he says himself "without a cause" and that showed God they lacked spiritual discernment, respect nor understanding. He even said to those under the influence and teachings of such people "so do and observe whatever they tell you, but not the works they do." You see their deeds, their works were evil but they saw them as righteous and thought of themselves above others. They were doing things mans-way and by man's interpretation.

He said there is one lawgiver and one rabbi being one teacher who is Christ himself. That is because in the beginning before Abraham as he said he and God were one. They are one. What he was saying is he is the true vein and without him even learning would be impossible. We know there are teachers in the world today as there are scientists, doctors and there is education. So he's not saying that there shouldn't be but he's saying that he is the main vine. He is the truth, the way and the life.

There are people today who call themselves Christians who do the exact same thing. There are those whom will tell you that you are not saved by works but you need to be saved or you will end up in hell. Once you get saved they might compound the word of God that you are not saved by works and therefore doing any works is adding on-to the gospel. How is works confused with righteousness? You can't earn your salvation and the Bible makes that very clear as there is only one mediator between God and man and that is the Lord Christ Jesus. John 3:16 as he died for the sins of the world. Mercy and grace on God's part. And!!! Not just you but others too. You could be a none lukewarm true Christian and still love people. You can still pick up your cross and still love people. You don't have to follow even fellowship with those lost in the world. Their worldly sinful ways are not your ways as that will make you God's enemy just as the Bible makes it very crystal clear. Reference HERE

Look what he says further. And just so you know he says a lot more than this below..

(hypocrites) .. failure to love, failure to forgive, failure to obey him, failure to be pride-less. How do these religious people become the sons of hell as themselves or yourselves?

Matthew 23.15  “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel land and sea to win one proselyte, and when he is won, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves."

Is this what is being done in Christianity today? You know God said you have to love him with all your heart, mind and soul. How is that possible if you don't care and you don't repent? If you cannot hear the gospel or have no time for it. If you are trying to hold on-to those things that are sin ridden that the lord Jesus Christ came to destroy as he did the works of the devil and you cherish them. That way will be leading you the broad way and is not allowing you to enter in at the narrow gate. Then how is that loving God with all your heart, mind and soul? There is a difference between a Pharisee Christian and an none lukewarm Christian. Someone who truly follows the teachings of scripture and who can understand the parables taught by Christ himself. So my question to you is are you a burden to others in making them stumble ? You know Christ said that these Pharisees shut up the Kingdom of heaven for people and neither did they enter in themselves. How many Pharisee Christians and other non-Christians are doing this today. He said his sheep hear his voice and they obey him.

Now here is the just of the matter. Don't be a Pharisee and don't deny the Lord Jesus Christ nor his wonderful works that he did when he walk on earth or that is written in scripture. The fact that he came means you are not justified nor defined in and of yourselves. In other words you are not without sin and everything is exposed to God. It's one thing to teach or preach but it's another thing to be a Pharisee and to go way above your master. Don't shut up the Kingdom of heaven for others. Because in doing so you will shut it for yourselves and for them too. See "I never knew you" as he will tell many on the Day of Judgement as written has profound implications. Some people/profess & say they are born again and with one hand say they love and with another hand are found to be hypocrites in God's eyes. Sure no one is perfect but if you put on the new man is he the old man? You are not saved by works but neither are you above your master or your maker. You are to edify your brothers and sisters in Christ. Better put as the Lord himself said "And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted." You see the thief on the cross who confessed and acknowledged the Lord Jesus Christ accepted his sinful state and repented. He humbled himself even on a cross and confessed they as thief's deserved their just punishment.

Humans are without excuse and since he came he fulfilled the law. Again John John 3:16. They that don't repent and acknowledged him nor accept him have no cloke for their sins. He said repent or perish. You need to be cleansed by the blood. Without the shedding of blood this would not be possible.  Repent or perish.

I'm going to provide two links to two Church Services I watched/listened to yesterday as well at the end of my foot-notes today...

A light/lamp on a hill that shines can't be dimmed. If you are washed in the blood and you are redeemed that is a blessing. Even though such is wonderful there are so called saved Christians that fight and bicker among-st each other like cats and dogs. It is written the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom. I've seen the testimony of a former Christian who said what turned him off to Christianity was the Christians themselves. Someone said there's a bumper sticker that reads its not God I can't stand but it's his fan club.

You see that's why I reference John 3:16. Yes I do believe it. But John 3:16 doesn't stop there. There's a story and there is more scripture to that. Christ tells  Nicodemus a ruler of the Jews that one must be born again and if not he will not see the kingdom of God. I myself don't believe  that all Christians are born again. The Lord Jesus Christ came to call sinners to repentance. Out of two services that I watched and listened too yesterday Charles Lawson said churches today have stopped teaching/ calling sinners to repentance. True!!!

Both services that I watched yesterday were profound and interesting. So it was said that there are people trying to earn their way into heaven or find favor with God and this is a tradition of men. In a sense yes it is. But there are other traditions of men that have seeped into biblical Christianity as well. But I'm not here to point fingers. Even the Apostle Paul was aware of bickering and all sorts of wickedness among the brethren. That is what I was pointing out. You know that's why the Lord said if anybody desires to be first let him be last. I've heard one Christian whom was a pasture say in his lifetime he hasn't even met 1% of a true Christian. One who's really wonderful by the heart and true to Christ I guess it is what he is meaning to imply. Is that a light on a hill that can't be dimmed. Then there's the other scenario about not casting your pearls before swine. You know how the Bible talks about dogs. Yes I know what that is. You need to have good judgment as a believer or a born again Christian. You need to be able to discern the situation be it if one is telling somebody about Christ, preaching on the street perhaps in a gay and lesbian community or to so called dogs. I've heard one pasture say that if John 3:16 is a lie then God would have to send people to hell. John 3:16 is not a lie. It's God who knows the hearts of all men. Paul said he finished the good fight to the end. He didn't give up. The word of God says that if anybody teaches people unrighteousness they will be called the least in the Kingdom. There are Pharisee Christians. Perhaps they are covered by the blood. None the less they do exist. Does this glorify the Lord or does this glorify self? In Matthew 13:12 it is written "For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him." You know that saying the drunkards will not inherit the Kingdom and be fooled not. The basic paradox is as written "The unfit ground loses the seed it receives". The unfit mind as someone says. It makes me think how God gave some up as reprobates. He gave them over to a reprobate mind. Christ said is not what goes into a man that defiles him but what comes out of him.  Regarding the current pandemic that is in a way a trial and tribulation & evangelist Christians can use this time in a profound way. What I've read and observed is shocking. Where is that light that shines on a hill? I've read so many accusations and I have not seen the love that's supposed to shine and glorify the Lord. How are you to glorify the Lord? Whatever you have whether it be a lot or nothing always give thanks anyways. Some have a lot and have nothing and some have nothing and have a lot. God knows the heart.

What came to me was John 2:16 in conjunction to pondering John 3:16. (Read below). It is true and very profound. God is not "things". Store up treasures for heaven where moths cannot get at them and devour them because where your treasure is there will be your hearts also.

Mark 8:37 KJV says "Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?"  You cannot buy your ways into Christ's Kingdom like Judas tried too. Money cannot buy you Christs love nor salvation. Henceforth a rich man entering God's Kingdom is like a camel going through the eye of a needle. Wake Up! FAITH!!!
