They ad-whore the spirit of the world 

 The unfruitful works of darkness such people deceived uphold. The Lord said "I will appoint their portion asunder with the unbelievers." Luke 12:46 God gave them over to a reprobate mind. They fool their own souls as they say they are not true believers and their fruits are evident in worldliness. There are those of us that were once like them and know the difference as we have been set free. John 8:36 They ad-whore the sinful spirit of the world.  For the most part they are rebellious to the letter and entangled in unrighteousness being Luke warm standing neither up for those things that be of God as they know HIM not though they act as they are believers but they live the life of a non-believer. 

 
You know they've received another spirit. They have received the spirit of anti-Christ and the spirit of the world. They are ignorant to their own darkness. They are as you say the lost and deceived. And in retrospect the life they built is one of deception and the life they suck in is worldliness full of sorcerers. This is not the narrow way that leads to salvation but rather the Broadway that leads straight to destruction. Matthew 7:13 Such people don't have the audacity to even listen or comprehend that they are deceived foe. 
 
Strange thing if you were to look at the parable of the virgins as some did not have oil in their lamps and when the master came he cut them asunder. Matthew 25 Appointed their portion with the unbelievers. Sent to outer darkness. HELL
 
And in the prophecy of the end times the Lord said that it would be very wicked and a sort of evil rebellion really bad would come forth never as bad since the beginning of the world. Matthew 24: 21-22 It is said such wicked people would be snakes and evildoers full of rebellion with a great falling away. 

AND! They are lovers of entertainment! 

Evil in the Last Days 2 Timothy 3:4 "unloving, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, without love of good, 4 traitorous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Turn away from such as these!" 

 
As written in John 10:10 “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” This is not them. They are lost and deceived and, in a world, cycle hostile with rebellion to the true God filled with Idolatry. 
 
Such people will fight tooth & nail to hold on to their worldliness like an alcoholic that is enslaved to their rebellious sin. In retrospect they don't repent and they fail to believe in the gospel as they will reap the world and perish along with its filth.
