Six hundred threescore and six
An anointed message
The number of the beast is six hundred and sixty-six. When people see the number 666 they think of the devil. Probably even people even being atheist or of other religions other than Christianity. This world is so far removed ungodly from God that one would ponder the question why does this exist rather than nothing. And why does evil exist in the world. Evil is the absence of good. At the current time the world is going through a devastating pandemic while many suspecting Christians liken it unto a plan-Demic.
If you take the world wars alone and you think of all the evil thrust unto people being human beings many wonder where was God if he exists. There was a book written by atheist Richard Dawkins called the God delusion. Some people think that God is just a concept that man created. Unfortunately the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is real and so is hell. This doesn’t exist of its own account. The word of God is the truth.
The real God is sovereign. He does not think as man thinks and he does have a council. His kingdom is not of this world. But why would such a powerful God Who created everything and spoke the world into existence allow such evil to manifest. This is a compound question. In short form he gave dominion to men until all be fulfilled. There will be a judgement day. So let’s look at the 666.
Whom is the devil ? In modern biblical translations, the Devil is the adversary of God and God’s people.
“Names for the Devil are numerous: Besides Lucifer, he may be referred to as the Prince of Darkness, Beelzebub, Mephistopheles, Lord of the Flies, the Antichrist, Father of Lies, Moloch or simply Satan.”
Other ways the devil might be described : The serpent, The beast, The dragon, That old serpent of old, The father of lies who was a murder from the beginning, Beelzebub, Lucifer, Satan.
We have to be able to accept the condition of man. And of course the condition of man is diminished and polluted by such things as drugs, alcohol, tobacco, and all sorts of toxins including idolatry. Even incest. All sorts of perversions.
Man whom is void of God is Dead already. Although there is hope in the biblical Lord Jesus Christ.
Jeremiah 17:9
9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? God searches the heart and he knows your thoughts. Those thoughts are naked. When you swim in a sea of sins you are exposed and your sins will find you out. You are also on the broad path/the road to destruction leading you away from God and to hell.
So with all the descriptions discussed so far of the devil or of evil there is a profound description in six hundred three score and six (666). That is the number of a man.
Revelation 13:18, KJV: "Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six." 666
God doesn’t make mistakes. Satan is real. He has people in his kingdom that are evil and wicked as well. People that worship him. God has people in his kingdom that are not of the devil.
So what does the word of God say about Gods people..
“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.” (John 10:27-29)
Those who are the lords true people, saved people from generation to generation cannot be separated from God. The word of God tells us that nothing can separate those people from God’s love. Salvation is of the Lord.
“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? …I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:35, 38-39)
Jesus Christ otherwise born a Jewish man is risen and he is real. He is the son of the living God. Is the rabbi. He is the only mediator between God and men. 1 Timothy 2:5 He is the king of kings and Lord of lords. He is all knowing and powerful. He is the lion of the tribe of Judah. He is the Alpha and the Omega. He is the first and the last. He chose 12 men who are disciples and known as apostles and yet is it coincidence that John 666 states as it is written that the disciples at a particular point walked no more with him. They were scared and they fell away. They were scattered.
John 6:66, KJV: "From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him."
Remember Judas sold him Jesus his master out and fell away. You can’t serve two masters. Jesus knew that Judas was a devil and would sell him out.
Now there are two other verses I will list about the 666 or referencing.
2 Chronicles 9:13
Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred and threescore and six talents of gold;
So it’s incredibly mind boggling as in relation to John 2:16. How would I know that? Believe me I know. Judas sold out his master for money and became the man of perdition. As written money is the root of all evil. Money is also the true God (idol) and motivation of countless corrupted individuals. Remember the rich man who did not feed Lazarus properly ended up in hell. Lazarus got crumbs. The rich man had comfort on the earth but then ended up in discomfort in hell.
Ezra 2:13
The children of Adonikam, six hundred sixty and six
Another reference to 666 also known as the mark of the beast. What does the Bible say? Just a little info.
“Adonikam was a noble under Artaxerxes sent from Babylon to Jerusalem to rebuild the Temple. He is thus analogous to the craftsmen under Hiram in the time of Solomon. He is another Temple builder--another Mason!”
“Rehoboam, on the other hand, the son of Solomon, another 666 man, promoted false priests and perverted the true religion:”
1Ki 14:27 And king Rehoboam made in their stead brasen shields, and committed them unto the hands of the chief of the guard, which kept the door of the king's house.
“He also fought against the nation of Israel, a type of the Church:”
2 Ch 11:1 And when Rehoboam was come to Jerusalem, he gathered of the house of Judah and Benjamin an hundred and fourscore thousand chosen men, which were warriors, to fight against Israel, that he might bring the kingdom again to Rehoboam.
Perversion, falsehoods associated with Babylon. The beast goes to war against the Saints. Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. And he is worshipped by an ungodly world. He had the audacity to tempt even the lord. He is arrogant, prideful and seeks worship. He counterfeits many things. He ponders the things that be of men. Not things that be of God. He is a wolf in sheep‘s clothing. He comes as an angel of light. He appears righteous onto men.
Now as I understand it the number 666 has been associated with various human beings, such as religious leaders throughout the centuries or political people and what not. But the number 666 is also the number of the anti-Christ who is already in the world. It is also the number of the Mark of the beast as stated above. And the attributes and characteristics of the devil in all of the described ways as written/referenced in this blog sheds light on the darkness. As written he whom has understanding and wisdom knows the obvious that can be simple and complicated at the same time.
Look what is written in the next two versus …
John 5:19 And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.
God created everything within six days. He rested on the seventh. (7th) The Lord Jesus Christ rose from the dead after three days. He laid down his life on his own account at the age of 33 years old as a ransom for many. The word of God in the Bible has 66 books. The number of the beast Including the mark of the beast and of the antichrist is 666. The word of God is a two edge sword. Hebrews 4:12 Sanctify them by thy truth. Thy word is truth. God doesn’t make mistakes. God is not the author of confusion. 1 Corinthians 14:33
