In-depth Hermeneutics and Sovereignty under a microscope

Salvation, Healing, Miracles, and the Sovereignty of God: An Interview with Pastor John Samson

Now this is extremely interesting. Very good insight. Very good hermeneutics. Very good discussion. And I like what they touched upon even the personal relationship. There are others in the body of Christ. And they talked about King Nebuchadnezzar and how God had sort of a judgement on his life. Daniel 4 They talk about God’s sovereignty and they say some people are chosen for a specific task or we can call it predestination. And they get into some very interesting topics regarding the prosperity gospel and word of faith movement. John 2:16

And they discussed what they called the Trinity and the fact that the Bible doesn’t mention that word. The word Bible is not in the Bible but is on the front cover. They see it as three distinct persons. All in one of course. The Bible calls it the GOD ahead. Colossians 2:9 And this issue confuses people. Some people can’t make sense of it. But there are people that studied this for years extensively and they have made some sort of sense of it. The “Thief” on the cross did not have to believe in the Trinity. And you know they can have their own opinions and I do respect their knowledge or opinions. The body of Christ has many members and people don’t all agree on everything. Now about the healing gifts not being with us today are they right? Do you know as I’ve said before in study if it was true that they are still here it would be big news. It doesn’t mean that someone might not still possess this gift but I believe God still heals. In study it is a fact that there are people who were healed as it seems an impossibility that the medical industry cannot explain. Somehow prayer was involved but people did have faith. Jesus said don’t practice your righteousness before people. Sometimes things are done to glorify God.

You see the people that Jesus the messiah healed they were speaking to the real guy in the flesh before he was crucified. He told them their faith healed them. And I know the apostles had this gift too. Of course people healed had faith Christ was who he said he was but he didn’t have to measure their faith with a thermometer.

Of course there’s no such thing as Modern Day Apostles. That office has ended. The canyon is closed. But there are people that are called. Some to ministry. Some to prophesied.  Some to preach and teach. Some to serve in some capacity.

I guess with the sovereignty of God and the fact that they discussed free will as they say some don’t really have free will there can be confusion and even a difference of opinion there. I can understand their viewpoint but this can be a huge topic. Example: Of course Moses did the will of God but the Bible does say many are called and few are chosen. Look at all one read/sees in the news of the evils perpetrated. They say somethings God allows things to occur. It’s definitely probably true. But people do have free will. You have the will to choose what university or college you would go to or what car you might buy. The biblical Jesus never forced the young ruler to choose his way but he gave him an ultimatum. He told him to sell everything, give the money to the poor then to pick up his cross and follow him. Does God know who will be saved and who won’t?  In other words some people were created where God knew they were going to end up in hell anyways. Before the foundations of the world God knew. He knew who would perish despite that person being created. But he still went ahead and created that person. Then they also reason that all are deserving of hell anyways. There is not even one who is good. But there are born again Christians that are considered Saint material. That’s true. But without the master it wouldn’t be impossible. We have to be humble. You see the lord Jesus said it would have been better if Judas was never born. Judas became the son of perdition and probably ended up in hell.

God gave free will. In other words he doesn’t chase you down to make you believe. But he provides warnings through the word of God and through the Law of the prophets as Jesus called it. So if you go abort a child you commit murder. Sometimes God will send evangelist to evangelize the word of God at the abortion clinic to try to get you whoever you are that is going to abort a child or others that are going to take part as to stop that murderous sin. And throughout your life you have probably countless opportunities to come to the glorious gospel of Christ and to believe. All are deserving of hell. That’s why he sent his son into the world. So you have ample opportunity to come to him and to repent of those sins. To repent means to make a turnaround from that wrong sinful way. So even if God knows before the foundations of the world who won’t make it it’s not his fault. It’s like a teacher that postpones the exam numerous times because he or she does not want anyone to fail but it falls onto deaf ears. That’s why the Lord said for those who don’t believe they’re condemned already.

In the end being either at the judgement seat of Christ or when God judges God is the ultimate judge and he is forgiving. Forgive 7×77 times. I am reminded of John 3:16 in prayer. And with the preaching and the reaching out I guess people have the choice. When they draw their last breath if they haven’t repented/called upon regards to turning to the true God being Jesus Christ then they’re going to be in hot water. But God is the ultimate judge. Sure we can make our assessment based on the word of God but God is the ultimate judge.

Justin reasons that you can’t take your doctrine from the dictionary. The word “heresy” was on Justin’s tongue. As they do have short clips of certain people as they continue their discussion. You know they reason amongst themselves and you really need to have that other person there for a defence of themselves. But he seems to have a strong ethical point.

Sovereignty - “supreme power or authority.”

Hermeneutics - “is the theory and methodology of interpretation, especially the interpretation of biblical texts, wisdom literature, and philosophical texts. ... “

“Hermeneutics is a wider discipline which includes written, verbal, and non-verbal communication.”

Romans 9:21

Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?”

Paster John Samson was once a word of faith prosperity preacher. He realizes how that is wrong now. He talks about the intricacies of healing where you don’t see victims from serious injury as example car accidents or other intricacies in which healing evidence is beyond question. Investigative reporting has shown much fraud. That doesn’t mean God does not heal but it’s just not some spectacle on the stage in Vegas. They also talked about wordily christians and what the bible has to say about that. I call it serving two masters.

Now again in regards to having NO FREE WILL if the ultimatum is repent or perish or heaven or hell then It would appear free will is not what people perceive to be free will.   God has the absolute right to send people to hell. And we have been warned of the consequences of hell. It exist whether you want to believe it or not. Your tongue can send you there. Swearing and taking Gods name in vain will store up wrath.
