The world Marvel's after the beast
Now
as written in Revelation 13:3
“And
I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was
healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. “
Now we can indulge in Revelation 13:3 in depth or we can simply look at the
Beast and what the Bible says about the Beast. The world's been marveling after the Beast for quite some time. But as written in the end times the Beast
will resurface most definitely and people will wander after it. Below
I've taken some quotations that are relevant and interesting.
"The
description of the beast is found in Revelation chapters thirteen and
seventeen. Chapter thirteen gives the fullest description. John saw it
"rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his
horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy."
And all the world wondered
after the beast.
“4 And
they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped
the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with
him? “
The Description is twofold. The Beast has co-conspirators. The Beast has
probably and most definitely other nations that assist. It feels there is no higher power than it. This beast of the earth does not worship the only true God that exists.
" And
all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in
the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world." Perhaps those that took the mark of the beast and those that died in deception as well unsaved the bible way.
"9 If
any man have an ear, let him hear." Many hear but do not hear and many see and are blind. On judgment day he does not KNOW THEM! Unless they repent and turn to the truth when they still have the breath of life on earth. Problem is many are reprobate with a completely closed mind and greatly deceived.
Notice it says the lamb was slain from the foundation of the world. Surely God
knows all things. There are people saved and there are people lost. There will
be the great tribulation. In essence people are drawn away to worship a
counterfeit Christ. Such promotion is passed off as the real Christ. But what they
really are worship-ping is the beast/Satin.
You know they preach Christ crucified and they also preach that sin is a
problem. We also know that there are abominable sins.
Proverbs 6:16–19 lists seven things which are also abominations: "haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands
that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are
swift in running to mischief, a false witness who utters lies, and one who
spreads strife among brothers." Now apart from these there are spiritual fornication sins
as well.
Henry Matthew commentary.
"Daniel's vision of the four beasts, which represented the four
monarchies, Dan. 7:1-3, etc. One of these beasts was like a lion, another like
a bear, and another like a leopard; this beast was a sort of composition of
those three, with the fierceness, strength, and swiftness, of them all; the
seven heads and the ten horns seem to design its several powers; the ten
crowns, its tributary princes; the word blasphemy on its forehead proclaims its direct enmity
and opposition to the glory of God, by promoting idolatry.” Not sure I agree total on the four monarchies and I have heard this explained before with great detail. It is obvious to the true believer.
"The honour and worship paid to this infernal monster: All the world
wondered after the beast; they all admired
his power, and policy, and success, and they worshipped the dragon that gave
power to the beast, and they worshipped the beast; they paid honour and subjection to
the devil and his instruments, and
thought there was no power able to withstand them: so great were
the darkness, degeneracy, and madness of the world! 7. How he exercised his infernal
power and policy: He had a mouth, speaking great things, and blasphemies; he blasphemed God, the name of God, the tabernacle of
God, and all those that dwell in heaven; and he made war with the saints, and
overcame them, and gained a sort of universal empire in the world."

And the whole earth marveled as they followed the beast.
“Chapter
Summary This chapter exposes two evil men, ''beasts'' who serve the Devil. The
first beast arises from the sea, presumably the Mediterranean. The second beast
arises from the land, possibly Israel. The first beast dominates the
final form of the Roman Empire and sets himself up as a god to be
worshiped. This first figure is the one most often labelled as ''Antichrist.''
The second beast acts as prophet, priest, and king in Israel. As such, he
imitates Christ, but he is a False Prophet. This corrupted religious leader
sets up an image of the first beast in the temple and commands everyone to
worship it. The false prophet executes those who refuse to worship the image.
Further, he causes everyone to receive the name or the number of the first
beast on the right hand or on the forehead. Without this identifying
mark, no one can buy or sell. The number of the beast is 666."
Now if it arises from Israel can be debated. Either way it will rise. “Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, `I am the Christ, ' and will deceive many.” (The true Christ said that!)
So it explains particularly in
scripture where the beast get its power. Partly from Satan. But something
has to give the beast support and it needs a source of income and of
course it has such. It has World influence. People feed it. It deceives people as it will into the
tribulation. It is complex in its makeup and worldly relations. Its takes council against the real God and promotes its self as such.
Why would the world wonder after the beast? Well we know it steals the glory from the true God. We also know that the world is deceived. The devil/demonic easily distracts and deceives people. Remember he’s a snake. People are sold counterfeit and not only brought into spiritual fornication but sold an everything goes concept. Clearly we should not be ignorant to the devices of Satan but people truly are. Clearly men love darkness. People are attracted to imagery and idolatry. People see life as vanity and things but don’t perceive the world that is to come or the things hidden to their eyes. People don’t see the sin ocean or the deceit in things that they indulge in or worship. Humans have an obscured vision of understanding/Judging who is good and what/who is bad. There is not even one according to Christ. People also can’t see the devil and have an obscured vision or comprehension of what he is. Many people blindly serve the prince of the air. Also people can’t see hell and they are ignorant that it really does exist. They underestimate God. Many people are the enemy of the true God unaware. Christ said to preach the gospel and turn people from Satan onto God by the preaching of the gospel.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into
the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were
evil.
20 For every one that
doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should
be reproved.
